1. The Beginning
In 1989, in Fars Province, we were surrounded by something that had been part of local life
for generations:
plants. fields. seasons. harvests.
We learned early that a botanical product does not begin in a bottle, a package, or a factory.
It begins in the field.
The quality of the soil.
The timing of the harvest.
The care given to the plant.
These details may seem small.
But together, they determine what eventually reaches the customer.
That was one of the first lessons that shaped the way we think about production.
2. The Question
As we worked closer to Iranian botanicals, another question became impossible to ignore.
Why should exceptional raw materials result in ordinary products?
We could see the potential in Iranian medicinal herbs, saffron, Damask Rose, and other
botanicals. But we also understood that good raw material alone does not guarantee a good final product.
The real challenge was keeping that natural value alive through every stage that followed.
Cleaning.
Drying.
Processing.
Distillation.
Extraction.
Packaging.
Every step mattered.
And if we wanted international buyers to trust the products we supplied, we needed to take
greater responsibility for those steps ourselves.

We had a choice.
We could continue supplying raw materials and leave the rest of the journey to others.
Or we could go further.
We chose to go further.
We began developing our own capabilities for processing, drying, distillation, extraction,
quality control, and preparation for export.
The idea was simple:
If we want to stand behind the quality of a product, we need to understand and control
the journey that creates it.
It was not the easiest path.
It required investment, learning, experimentation, process improvements, and patience.
But step by step, the idea became a system.
And that system became the foundation of ElOrigin.

Over the years, our focus moved beyond simply producing a product.

Can we improve traceability?
Can we reduce unnecessary handling?
Can we give buyers clearer information?
